Born and educated in Germany with a M.Sc. degree in geology from Technische Universität Munich, Carl arrived in Australia in 1982 and became involved in gold and mineral exploration throughout Australia, the South Pacific and North America before moving into management and information technology.
He is an executive director of Boulder Steel Limited, a publicly listed Australian company, as well as principal of his private company Fledersound Technology Pty Limited.
Fledersound Technology Pty Limited operates the well-known B2B trading portal Eurocommerce Australia and the telecommunications site Intelfax Communications.
