Clare
was fortunate during her work towards her Masters Degree to have direct exposure to a number of influential Australian academics in the field of organisational learning. As a result, she is
fully familiar with contemporary approaches to organisational analysis and the development of strategies to address systemic barriers to change and, ultimately, progress.
As a business analyst and adult educator, Clare has considerable expertise in project management, policy development, strategic planning and change management.
Recognising the importance of technology, Clare has developed advanced computing skills. With a keen personal interest in both the Internet and website design, she believes that the potential of the Internet is still largely untapped by many Australian businesses.
Clare says that "Unfortunately, many of the websites established by businesses in Australia are not providing value in return for financial outlay. This is often because they are designed by people with technical skills but limited understanding of business development and marketing concepts. These sites become a show piece for the technicians' skills but download times are high and they are difficult to navigate. Potential consumers become frustrated and leave the sites without purchasing products and services. Also, website content is often of a low quality and grammatically incorrect, leading to a less than professional image."
As a skilled communicator on all levels, Clare has strong interpersonal skills. Throughout her career, Clare has developed high-level professional writing skills within business development and strategic planning contexts.
